Gaspereau Vineyards Upcoming Events

There are a few important upcoming events and changes happening soon here at Gaspereau Vineyards! Starting November 1st our store hours change from 9am-6pm to 10am-5pm. We will also be participating in some great events this winter!

Tis the season for the Christmas Craft Fairs to start! We are registared to participate in three Craft fairs this season. So come check us out : )

First, we will be joining many other local vendors for "Christmas at the Forum" in Halifax. This craft fair will be held November 6th-8th. We are very excited to be joining this craft fair, it will be our first year participating! The show is open on Friday 10am-9pm, Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Secondly, we will be returning to Exhibition Park November 13th-15th for the "Christmas Craft Village". We had a blast participating in this craft fair last year and we are really looking forward to it again this year! Thirdly, is the "Acadia Christmas Craft Fair" which will run simultaneously with the Olympic Torch Run in Wolfville. We will be joining many other local vendors at the Acaida Sports Center November 20th-22nd. This show runs Friday 10am-9pm, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. We enjoyed participating in this craft fair last year, as well as seeing what the other local vendors have to offer! This is a great show and a great time! NS wins bid to host Tourism Summit!

The inaugural World Culinary Tourism Summit is going to be in held in Nova Scotia in September 2010. We are pleased to announce this news, which really puts Nova Scotia on the map for having world-class local food, wine, and products. Here at Gaspereau Vineyards, we are excited to be around such a wonderful event. We've known for years how wonderful Nova Scotia produce is, and it's exciting to share that with the world.

The conference will "bring together 300 to 500 leaders of the culinary tourism industry to discuss the state of the industry today as well as best practices for sustaining and developing the future of the culinary tourism industry," according to the recent press release.

"We were competing against established culinary destinations from around the globe,” says Janice Ruddock, executive director of Taste of Nova Scotia. “Winning the bid for this summit confirms what we have known for a while…that our local farmers, fishermen, chefs, winemakers and tourism partners are producing international caliber culinary experiences for consumers.”
